33 &34 Weeks

How far along? 34 weeks 1 days

EDD: 6/3/12

Weight gain/loss:  Gained a half a pound between 33 and 34 weeks.
Next Ultrasound: 5/7/12... 36 weeks, to check for size and set a date for her appearance. He gave us some options today at our appointment. Have ultrasound, if she is a big girl different things could happen... have an amino to check for lung development and if good have her, not have amino but get steroid shot for lung development and have her, or wait it out and just see. He was saying however that we should be ready to go on May 14th! If she is not so big, we have until week 39 at the latest.
Size of baby: Not sure, but if her butt or feet feel like they are in my throat and her head keeps pushing on my cervix, I'm thinking she's pretty large. Also I can't even really bend over anymore without feeling like she is going to pop a foot out my mouth!
Gender: Girl.

Maternity clothes? Ummm,,, yeah...
Stretch marks: The old ones have gotten darker. I am soooo much bigger than I was with KK that I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't more... but who's counting at this point!
Sleep: Pretty bad! I think the birdies are waking up KK about 5am every morning. So between that and a leg cramp every 30 minutes or having to pee every hour there is not much sleep to be had.
Best moment this week: We had a good day today. KK's daycare was closed due to a water main break so she had to come with us to the appointment. I have to say I was a little unsure how she would do, but she was great and didn't get too fussy or out of control. Then she even tolerated going shopping and to lunch. She is doing much better about sitting and behaving than say 2 months ago... growing into a big girl... just in time to help with her lil sis :) (Ok, right... this isn't a blog about KK) :)

Food cravings: Last week I wanted Fish Sticks and Mac and Cheese. Also hot dogs and potatoes fried together... I know... yuck... it doesn't sound good to me this week either!

Pregnancy Signs: Looking pregnant.
Movement: Yep... didn't I talk earlier about the foot out the mouth and head butting the cervix...

What I miss: This is not really what I miss now... but I keep thinking about how KK's life is about to change and how she won't be the center of ALL our attention anymore and it makes me a little sad for her and for us... that it just won't be the three of us anymore.
What I am looking forward to: Getting to go back to work part time after Mattea is born. Just praying that it all works out with her daycare and money wise.
Weekly Wisdom: I'm too tired to be wise this week :)

Week 32~

How far along? 32 weeks 1 days
EDD: 6/3/12

Weight gain/loss:  Dr. Appt. last week had gained 3 pounds in a week and a half... mostly from swelling I think.
Next Ultrasound: Not sure but pretty sure there will be more in the next 8 weeks or so.
Size of baby: If you ask me... she feels HUGE :)
Gender: Girl.

Maternity clothes? Yep... Or really comfy ones :)

Stretch marks: Just the old ones. And the old ones are getting darker in areas.

Sleep: Pretty bad... and Karis isn't helping!
Best moment this week: Had a good Easter today... Church, brunch, nap, egg hunt and tacos for dinner!

Food cravings: Not so much.

Pregnancy Signs: Looking pregnant.
Movement: Yep...

What I miss: When water doesn't give you heartburn :)
What I am looking forward to: Getting through the next six weeks.
Weekly Wisdom: Doctors like to use Doogie Howsers to do all their work... frustrating!

How far along? 30 weeks 2 days

EDD: 6/3/12

Weight gain/loss:  +17lbs

Next Ultrasound: Not sure but pretty sure there will be more in the next 8 weeks or so.

Size of baby: Her estimated size today during the ultrasound was 4lbs 12 oz or measuring three weeks ahead of schedule.

Gender: Girl.

Maternity clothes? Yep... Or really comfy ones :)

Stretch marks: Just the old ones. And the old ones are getting darker in areas.

Sleep: Same as always... not so good :(

Best moment this week: Seeing Mattea today... She is looking good and measuring ahead. They checked her cord flow and it is looking really good too... so it looks like I might stear clear of bedrest this pregnancy. She had plenty of fluid. she is measuring big... but my blood sugar has been under pretty good control, so we'll just have to see how BIG she gets!

Food cravings: Not so much.

Pregnancy Signs: Looking pregnant.

Movement: Yep...

What I miss: Not much. Maybe a good nights sleep and being able to move after eating a meal.
What I am looking forward to: we have family visiting the next couple of weeks... that should be good.

Weekly Wisdom: Don't try to share ice cream with an almost two year old... they don't like that! :)

Week 27 & 28...3rd Tri here we come...

How far along? 28 weeks 4 days

EDD: 6/3/12

Weight gain/loss:  +16lbs

Next Ultrasound: 30 weeks on March 26th.

Size of baby: I'm not sure... but I'm pretty sure her feet can reach my throat and her head could pop out if she pushed hard enough :)

Gender: Girl.

Maternity clothes? Yep... Or really comfy ones :)

Stretch marks: Just the old ones. And the old ones are getting darker in areas.

Sleep: Guess I'm just not meant to sleep well. Leg cramps have been getting really bad, waking me up about 4 times a night. Heartburn, Round Ligament Pain everytime I roll over and then lets not forget my arms falling asleep all night.

Best moment this week: Hearing from the Doc that we are 2/3rds of the way there.

Food cravings: Not so much.

Pregnancy Signs: Looking pregnant.

Movement: Yep... and you can watch her flip around... weird.

What I miss: Not pregnancy related... but right now I miss my family, having to spend three days away kinda sucks.

What I am looking forward to: getting home from training and our next appointment of the 26th to get another peak at Bean.

Weekly Wisdom: Name... Mattea Abigail! Or Mattie for her nickname :)

Mattea meaning and name origin

Mattea \m(at)-tea\ as a girl's name is of Hebrew origin, and the meaning of Mattea is "gift of God". Feminine form of Matthew.

Week 25 &26

How far along? 26 weeks 6 days
EDD: 6/3/12

Weight gain/loss:  At my appointment on 2/14/12 I was up 14lbs.

Next Ultrasound: Maybe sometime after 30 weeks.
Size of baby: The ticker thing says the size of an eggplant. A chart I looked up says the average fetus at almost 27 weeks is almost 2lbs and about 14.5 inches. Since she already weighed 1lb 11oz almost three weeks ago... I'm betting she weighs over 2 lbs!
Gender: Girl... hmmm.... Maybe we will confirm a name soon! :)

Maternity clothes? Yep... Or really comfy ones :)

Stretch marks: Just the old ones.

Sleep: Well myself and KK have been pretty sick the last few weeks so sleep for awhile was limited to about an hour at a time. KK is now feeling better, wish I could say the same... but we are getting better sleep. Well except for the leg cramps, having to pee and baby girl doing a bogey in my belly at 3am!
Best moment this week: KK is really starting to talk in more sentences and it is amazing the words she knows and the things she says. The other night she had made a mess with her cracker. She was trying to let her daddy know she had made a mess. He told her politely that he didn't care about her mess... KK's reply... "I don't care either daddy!" Too cute :)

Food cravings: Not so much.

Pregnancy Signs: Looking pregnant... from the pic above... I'm going to get huge in the next 12 weeks!
Movement: Yep... she has her calm days and her active days... but if i nudge her just enough she will wiggle for me.

What I miss: So I'm not a big drinker, but for some reason a nice alcoholic beverage sounds good :P

What I am looking forward to: feeling better with this sinus thing and maybe starting to get things together for #2.

Weekly Wisdom: Even water can create Heartburn :(   If baby girl were to be born this week without other complications her chance of surival is 90%... good to know :)

Week 24~ Flexible Girl

We'll start this week with the few shots we got of her. Just like KK before her, most shots the tech couldn't get because there was always a hand or foot or both in the pic! Here you can see her profile on the right of the pic.

Pic of both of her feet together.

Here is a 3D of her leg and foot.

Ummmm... Yeahhh... she's a GIRL!

One profile shot the tech could get... she was moving quite a bit and being quite the diva! :)

How far along? 24weeks 2days
EDD: 6/3/12

Weight gain/loss:  Not sure, will weigh next week at the visit. But think I'm doing pretty good.

Next Ultrasound: ?????

Size of baby: She measured in the 61st percentile today... weighing in at 1lb 11ozs.

Gender: Girl :) See pic above.

Maternity clothes? I got a pair of jeans and one pair of work pants last week. I love the fit of the jeans... wish I could wear them everyday!

Stretch marks: Just the old ones.

Sleep: I'd love some if my arms would stop falling asleep after 10 minutes and leg cramps 10x a night...oh and having a cold where you can't breathe.

Best moment this week: Seeing baby today and that she is still looking good and baking along.

Food cravings: Not so much.

Pregnancy Signs: hmmm... I look pregnant!

Movement: Yep... can see if from the outside which is always a little creepy. :)

What I miss: Not much this week.

What I am looking forward to: getting rid of mine and KK's colds.

Weekly Wisdom: Cheap Kleenx tissue is never good.
